A lip filler or lip augmentation is most commonly a procedure using a gel-like filler consisting of hyaluronic acid. There are several different types of filler that can be injected into your lips and around the mouth but here at AMC we use premium brands Teosyal®, Juvederm® & Aliaxin®

WHAT WILL I EXPECT ON TREATMENT DAY?

Your journey begins with all medical screening forms being completed and reviewed and once the assessment is completed of the lip area, a strong local anaesthetic (numbing) cream is applied for around 30 minutes. Once lips and surrounding area are numb and you are comfortable, a cleansing routine will be undertaken using a clinical prep skin solution. Then the procedure will be performed which takes around 15 minutes. You will see results immediately, although your lips may be slightly swollen making them look bigger than the final results will be.

WHAT ARE THE POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS?
​
It is common to have some bruising and swelling for a few days and your lips will feel quite tender, but once this settles, they will feel soft and natural just like your own lips. Your lips will overall take 2 to 3 weeks to settle fully, and it is common to feel lumps and bumps for up to 6 weeks after treatment.
